2022 Ephrata Fair Parade
Wednesday, September 21, 2022
Broadcast live on Blue Ridge CATV

We are excited to announce CMFA will be participating again in the Ephrata Fair Parade! We invite our football players and cheerleaders to walk with our float throughout the three-mile parade route. Please submit your child’s ORIGINAL waiver to their coach, or Jessica Keffer, no later than Wednesday, September 14. The night of the parade, participants should arrive to the CMFA float staging location near the Ephrata High School by 6:30 PM; the parade starts at 7:00 PM. The Ephrata Fair Parade committee will notify us of our exact staging location a week prior to the parade; updated staging and post parade pick up location will be posted to your teams Band App as soon as it is available.

CMFA will suspend practice the night of the parade to allow members the opportunity to participate in the parade. Parade participation is not required, it is voluntary. Your Head Coach will decide if there will be a makeup practice. If your coach decides to hold a makeup practice, it will be scheduled for the prior Monday, September 19. This decision will be announced at practice, as well as posted on your team’s/squad’s Band App.

To ensure everyone’s safety, there will be a sign in sheet at the float staging location, as well as a sign out sheet at the post parade pick up location (to-be-determined). You MUST sign your child in and out, NO EXCEPTIONS. Stopping is prohibited where the parade disbands. Parents/guardians must pick up their participant as soon as possible at our pick up location. CMFA will not be held responsible for participants after the parade.

All participants are expected to abide by CMFA’s Participant Code of Responsibility; we are representing the Cocalico Midget Football Association.
Cheer coaches will determine cheerleaders parade attire.
Football players are expected to wear game jerseys. No game pants nor helmets.
Chaperones are asked to wear CMFA spiritwear or Cocalico colors.
*If you wish to Chaperone, check the box on the waiver. If you’ve already submitted your waiver, contact Jessica.
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes.
Eat dinner and use the bathroom prior to arrival.
Bring a water bottle.
Flag football players and flag cheerleaders will be riding on CMFA’s float; all other squads will be walking.
*Please Note: Hay bales will serve as seating on the float.
Each participant is asked to bring a bag of candy. Candy MUST be rolled, not thrown, during the parade.

Please complete and return the enclosed parade waiver to your coach no later than Wednesday, September 14, 2022. Any questions, comments or concerns may be directed to Jessica at 717-330-5592 or JaziJaxMom@gmail.com.
We are looking forward to participating in the Ephrata Fair Parade again, hope your football player and/or cheerleader will be able to join us!
